Jose Correa opened El Rancho in the Depot Park area of Sanford in 2006 having spent more than 22 years in New York City operating a family restaurant.  Originally from The Dominican Republic, Mr. Correa has worked hard to maintain the flavors of the Caribbean and is enjoying introducing them to the Lee County area residents.

"My food is simple.  Everything is very well seasoned. Notice I said 'seasoned' not spicy.  We make hot sauce, but it is served at the table and its at your own risk."

Popular menu items include moro, a mixture of either red beans, black beans or green pigeaon peas. Stewed goat and fried pork ribs are other favorites.
